Hardly any people in fact who were alive then, leading ordinary or even slightly unusual lives, are remembered in any way today.
A story like Miss Munsen's is wonderful to read about, and for me, always an opportunity to ponder for a moment on the transience of our lives, and a nudge to be a little more present to today.
I find it interesting too that she publicly asked the question: What becomes of the artists' model? And lived such a long life finding out by living an answer, tragic and no doubt painful for her.
